The five mega-concerts that country star Garth Brooks was giving Dublin in July for his comeback on stage
were canceled Tuesday because of a conflict with the municipality, to the chagrin of the 400,000 ticket holders.
Following complaints from residents of the Croke Park Stadium Dublin where concerts were to take place, the city council decided last week to allow only three of the five dates.
The American, who has sold over 150 million albums in his career, returns to the stage after 13 years of absence and plans to go on a world tour in the fall. He demanded for her hand holding all five concerts or anything.
"It is with great regret Aiken Promotions has announced today that five of Garth Brooks concerts at Croke Park have been canceled," finally said promoter Peter Aiken after visiting the United States to meet Garth Brooks.
"Aiken Promotions has exhausted all possibilities of places for organizing this event," he added.
400 000 tickets were sold out in record time for these concerts scheduled between 25 and 29 July at Croke Park stadium with a capacity of 80,000 seats.
But residents complained about the noise, congestion and possible overflows may accompany these concerts were attracting the equivalent of one-tenth of the Irish population.
Garth Brooks, who has already happened twice in Croke Park in 1997, enjoys a huge popularity in the United States where he remained 52 years one of the most famous singers.
