Bazini...next big star? He signs with Capitol Records

After winning Quebec and Canada with his new album Where I Belong, Bobby Bazini tries his luck in the United States. The artist Mont-Laurier has signed a contract with Capitol Records label, The Journal has learned en primeur. 

The agreement between the clan and Bazini the prestigious label was concluded last week confirmed to the Journal its managers in Quebec, host Mike Gauthier and his wife Genevieve Gélineau. 

Certified gold for sales of 40,000 copies since its release in the country on May 27, Where I Belong will be launched on August 12 at our neighbors to the south, in digital format only. 

"It was truly amazing what happens to me and I was eager to talk. I expect it for several years. I could not be happier, "said the Journal singer-songwriter. 

Bazini is well aware that he still has much work ahead to make a name in the highly competitive U.S. market. It should include participation in a showcase in Los Angeles in a few weeks. 

"I'm leaving early. But Rich and Capitol Records, I feel really confident. I have a good team behind me and it's a great opportunity, "says the young man who is ready to settle in the United States to become better known.

Rich with Bazini talking about is Rich Isaacson, his American manager that has found it Universal, its Canadian label at the beginning of the year. 

Thanks to Isaacson, which launched the career of Wu-Tang Clan and looked after the interests of Mika, if Bazini could get in a few weeks this record contract. Sometimes an artist can take months, even years, before being signed. 

"Rich is associated with Capitol, so they listened to his album soon. They liked his voice as the quality of the songs and maturity about it, "says Mike Gauthier. 

Of shows in the U.S.? 

The next few months will therefore be busy for Bobby Bazini. It will be promoting in the United States, thirty concerts are on its agenda in Quebec and his team organized the release of the album in Europe in the fall. 

All this could be accompanied by concerts in the United States. 

"The plan is to play me in the first part of an artist there," reveals Bazini.
